14 Cows for America

Questions:
1. Explain what the author means when she says "There is no nation so powerful it cannot be wounded, nor a people so small they cannot offer mighty comfort?

2. Can the quote above appy to children, too? If so, how?

3. If you had to choose something to give to someone to help them in their suffering and to show them you cared, what would it be? Why would you choose what you chose?

  1. Que.1 i think by what she meant by that she could've meant about how no nation is perfect or strong and can't be all wonderful. It reminded me of the Roman Empire considering how "strong" they were, but how easily they fell. To that second part...maybe how no matter size, race, or gender we contain heart ?
Que.2 Yes and no. The first part of the quote could have some effect, but yet again...the second definetly. It might've even been a read between the lines quote if you look carefully.
Que.3 It would be a good luck charm.(kind of cheesy to some people, but oh well!) I chose that because a certain someone gave me her good luck charm during a hard time for me. I still have it and it gives me hope and comfort of the fact someone was there to support me.
