Umbrella Summer by Lisa Graff

Questions:
1. List some things of which you are scared. Choose one and describe why you are scared of it and what you might do to help yourself when you feel scared.

2. Do you think you can be too careful or overly cautious about things? If so, give an example and explain why.

3. What did Annie and her new neighbor have in common? How did they help each other? Can you think of someone you might want to reach out to and help?

  10. Que. 1 SPIDERS! I SWEAR I CAN'T BE WITHIN 20 FEET OF ONE! I know it's ridiculous, but they have exoskeletons and if you step on them you can hear it...crunch. Once in Mrs. Kohtz's class we were reading 11 birthdays and a spider was on my leg! It took all my willpower to hold back a trecherous scream. But even then, my scream was muffled and let out a little! oh, absolutly nothing will help me!
Que2. YES! You should listen to the complaints of my friends! i'm always way too catiuos! Er... I can't think of an example, but I'm sure you'd think it's ridiculous!
Que.3 I agree with Caitlin A. They had someone close die. that last part, I'll keep inside my head!

  11. When I saw M.M.'s comment about what she's scared of, she isn't joking. Since Mary is part of her name we once called her bloody Mary (not to be mean) and she stopped laughing and begged us not to call her that. True story
